The Sleepless Doggo (Elden Ring Error), and the subject of the next video.

While doing research for my next video, I found a glitch with the wolves inside Caria Manor. These creatures are fully immune to sleep, meaning any source of sleep doesn't drain their hidden defense meter whatsoever:

On the surface this is already unusual, since beasts are typically vulnerable to sleep. The sleep mechanic itself also already has two different reactions it can trigger, so if they didn't want the full sleep effect to trivialize this enemy, they could've done the "brief stagger" reaction to sleep instead of going for full immunity.

But it's also unusual behind the scenes. Whenever an enemy is immune to something, its defense for that status effect is also set to something really high. Typically it's either 999, or something in the 2000+ range. This is redundant because they're also set to not be able to drain at all regardless of what it's set to, but you don't ever really find low numbers for this sort of thing...

Asides from this wolf! It only has a sleep resistance value of 235, which is something that a single sleep pot should normally be able to take care of. It turns out that the full immunity effect for them is turned on under special effects, which is likely a mistake.

I'll likely make a short about this later this week, but this was discovered in preparation for my next video, which will be all about enemy resistances to status effects and how they increase with subsequent procs.
