Improv Session: Lily Gets Underpaid

In 2024, Lily was played by Brooke Kymberley, a friend, musician and host of PBS radio. Brooke joined us to star in the Fresh Blood episodes, and totally defined the character. Since then, Brooke's music has taken off, releasing albums under Fairtrade Narcotics. We bid adieu to Brooke as she leaves to focus on music, with a new album dropping soon.
Our latest sketch introduces Alex Travers as Lily. Alex is a recent grad acting major, with tons of theatre experience. Recorded back in June, this was Alex's first session, and she instantly clicked with the role, resulting in our most popular video yet. In this behind the scenes clip, you can hear the process of outlining, improvising and performing a sketch without the use of any written dialogue. If you've seen the final sketch, it's especially cool to hear that most of the final video actually came from our first take.
