New Art Pacing | Patreon Poll #68

Hey Patrons, In this poll I’m going to ask for your thoughts on the pacing for releasing new pixel art for Shattered!

So, you all probably remember a blog post I made about a year ago about new upcoming art for Shattered Pixel Dungeon. Since then some more progress has been made, but things have largely stalled. I’m partly to blame for this, as I could have been more proactive with messaging the artists after periods of silence.

In the last month or so I have been getting onto them, and unfortunately one of them has definitively told me they cannot commit to the project, and the slow reply speed of the other makes me think they are also in that position.

That doesn’t mean that this project is dead, or that the existing work is a waste though. We have a lot of finished new art and reference material for what updated art should look like, and now it’s more of a matter of finding new artists to collaborate with. That is likely going to take a while though, so there’s the question of what to do with the art that’s done right now.

I’m curious what you guys think, and whether you’d like to see some new art sooner even if more new art might then take quite a while, and leave things in a partially complete state for a while.

The result of this poll will help me decide on a pace to release new art at!
