Intense Region Music! | Patreon Weekly #221

Hey Patrons, in this weekly I’m going to share some upcoming new music for the game that was previously shared in Shattered Secrets #26!

This weekly also includes an audio Q&A! The formatting is a bit different this week thanks to also having audio in the regular weekly. The Q&A starts at 11:00, and you can find audio timestamps at the end of this weekly.

More Music!

Since he finished up some work on Black Reliquary a couple month ago, Kristjan and I have been talking about adding some more new music to Shattered!

Since Kristjan’s original new music was added, Shattered now has a proper ascension challenge and work is starting on new quests. We decided to focus on ascension first, which led to the five tracks attached to this post, one for each region!

Quite quickly I realized that it would be nice to use these tracks in more cases, so we’re currently leaning toward calling them ‘intense’ tracks or similar, rather than ‘ascension’. In addition to ascension, they might play during specific quest moments, or perhaps will replace the regular music when the player has challenges enabled.

I’m not showing them off here just yet, but there are also extensions being added to the game’s region tracks and the tracks for the later 3 bosses! You can expect more musical variety when playing through the dungeon normally, and some unique music will play when DM-300, DK, and Yog are on their last legs.
