There’s also a new Shattered Secrets this week! I’m once again sharing some early spritework experimenting, and asking for feedback on it.
200 Weeklies!
For this weekly, I thought it would be fun to look back a bit on some of the other major milestone weeklies:
Weekly #100, almost 2 years ago, was a pretty substantial one, as it was the beginning of the general Patreon beta test for Shattered’s iOS release! I don’t think I’ll ever get things to line up that well again, we just so happened to be right at the big 100 at the same time as the iOS beta was ready for early testing.
Weekly 50 and 150 were a bit less significant, but still interesting to look back on in their own rights. In #50 I talked about some improved item icons, and the then WIP rework to the talisman of foresight! Prior to that rework the talisman’s scry ability was pretty similar to a scroll of magic mapping, with no ability to aim it and no mind vision. In Weekly #150 I showed off entering custom seeds, which then went on to release with v1.3.0 in July. It’s a bit crazy to think that seeds have already been in the game for 10 months.
While we are at 200 weeklies, we’re not quite at the 4 year anniversary of the Patreon yet. That’ll happen in May, on weekly #205.
The Plan for v2.1.0
With the v2.0.1 patch going out last week, I’m now looking toward developing and releasing v2.1.0. There might be one final v2.0.2 patch, as a few new bugs have been reported, but that won’t take up a significant amount of my time.
Here’s a list of what I’m planning for v2.1.0:
- Firstly, as mentioned pretty clearly during v2.0’s release, I’m planning to make balance changes and adjustments as needed to hero balance, with the Duelist as the biggest emphasis. I expect she’ll probably still be a bit weak after v2.0.1, so I’d like to look into some mechanics adjustments, instead of just more numbers buffs.
- As voted for by you guys, there will also be some new exotic enemies: phantom piranhas, which can teleport but drop much more valuable meat, and tormented spirits, which can be saved with a scroll of remove curse in exchange for a little loot.
- At least one new weapon will be added, likely a T4 equivalent to the rapier. I’d also like to add 1 or 2 more weapons, which will likely be a subject of the next Patreon Poll.
- I’ll also be adding shop buyback, and possibly some other improvements to the shop interface and layout.
- I also want to keep in top of bugs and misc changes as they get reported to me. Ideally I’d like to do fewer tweaks than in v2.0, but there are definitely a few smaller QoL things I’d like to get done.
- Finally, I’d like to do some more design and internal work in the Blacksmith Quest. I finally feel like I have a good direction to go in, and just need to flesh it out more.

Will using a scroll of remove curse on the tormented spirit make them despawn or fight for you in addition to the loot?
