There’s not a lot to share on the game dev front this week, I’ve mostly been fixing bugs with v1.1.0 to get it ready for release in a couple of days, so this is going to be a shorter post to share one final bit of info on pins!

There’s also a new Shattered Secrets this week! We’re doing things a little out of order this month, so expect this month’s poll a little later, probably next week.

Pin Shipping!

We’re finally here, as of today the first shipment of pins is going out!

I want to apologize one more time for how long this ended up taking. I severely underestimated how much effort and prep was involved in getting the pins, shipping supplies, and logistics set up. Now that everything is in place though things will hopefully progress more smoothly.

The very first shipment is just 11 mailings going out to the longest standing Patrons who have given me shipping addresses. If you’re one of those patrons, you will get a message very soon letting you know your pin went out. These pins are being send via untracked mail, so I’m starting small just in case there are issues with shipping logistics. This way the nightmare scenario is that 11 mailings are lost, instead of about 50.

Assuming all goes well with this first round, I’ll ramp up to about 20 mailings in the next batch, with the goal of getting caught up on all the pins Patrons are currently owed in about 2 months. Once that’s done, I’ll start doing regular mailings a bit after the start of each month for the Patrons who qualify for pins in that month.

As mentioned, each pin is numbered. In this first batch there will be 150 green 1-year pins, 100 glitter 2-year pins, and 50 black 3-year pins. Each pin will come with a little backing card letting you know what number it is, and a sticker as a bonus! Here’s what one of the initial 11 mailings will contain:
