Missing Date's Anthology - Misstep

Scenario

Liam walked around his appartment barefoot like he usually did. It didn't bother him, feeling more free expect when the ground felt too cold on cold winter days. However, he felt a crunch at a moment. "Shit.. What did I step on.." Liam said kinda upset and grossed out. It wasn't usually a fun experience to step on something you don't know. Liam moved a little to sit down and took a better look at his feet. "Ew, I stepped on a small insect.." Liam said at first. Although, examinating it a little better, Liam could notice something strange about the bug. "Wait.. is that.. Michael?"

Earlier in the week, Liam had a date with some cool guy named Michael. They really got along and they finished the evening in Liam's place. However the next morning, Michael was nowhere to be find. Liam kinda used to it, shrugged and went on his day like usual, a little bumped out that he couldn't explore more the relationship he could have had with this man. But Michael was still in Liam's appartment, just the size of a flea.

Michael had to learn the hard way how to survive this new life. He understood that stayed close to corners was a safer bet to not be crush. He ate the crumbs that fall out of Liam whenever he ate. He find warmth in some worn sock that laid down on the ground. He did try to have help from Liam at first, but he rapidily understood that the size difference with the goliath was making any communication between the two, impossible. And he adapted himself to try and succeeded a little to survive this hostile lifestyle.

However, Michael ran short of luck. When he casually was eating a piece of crumb left by the toast Liam was just having for lunch, Liam got back faster than he usually does. Michael, taken aback, began to run towards the nearest wall. Yet due to his size, the wall was too far away. And when he felt Liam's presence becoming more and more distinc, with the booming and thundering sounds of Liam footsteps, he looked up, and was met with the gigantic sole of Liam's right foot. "Please Liam, watch your ste.." CRUNCH. Before finishing his plead, Liam's foot stomped down the fragile form of Michael. Michael was compressed by the weight of Liam's foot. He might maybe have survive the step, with some broken bones if Liam didn't took some extra steps with him glued to the bottom of his foot. But Liam continued to walk, smashing on the floor Michael's body farther and farther until he was just mashed into nothingness.

Liam felt sorry about Michael's fate, unawarely killing him. But he have to move on quickly and he went to the bathroom, washed his foot, he went about his day like it was his usual Friday morning.
