Clone Wars Episode 217 (029) *FULL LENGTH REACTION

Happy Star Wars day everyone, and May the 4th be with you!

We are spoiled today because of who we get to see in this episode... Yes, my three favorite Jedi IN THE SAME EPISODE!!! 😍

This is also the first reaction I record with my new webcam, and hopefully today I'll be able to mostly switch my room around so the wall isn't so boring (plus this will help with my lighting setup, so that's a bonus!)

I hope we see that bounty hunter again since, as far as bounty hunters go, she was the nicest one.  I know we'll see Hondo again sometime, seeing as he pulled a General Grievous (also... we haven't seen him in a while, so I keep expecting him to randomly show up).

For this style of reaction, you need your own copy to watch the episode.  Also know there is an extension that allows you to do Picture-in-Picture in case you are interested: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/picture-in-picture-extens/hkgfoiooedgoejojocmhlaklaeopbecg?hl=en

I would love to know who your favorite Star Wars character is from the movies (since I have seen the movies and know those characters)?

The webcam looks SO different, I have to get used to it lol. I certainly do not envy Obi-Wan. Even Anakin doesn't really have an overall say in how things go, he definitely thinks of what's best there and now, while Obi-Wan has to think of the repercussions. It's very easy while watching to disagree with the decisions they make, but I'm like Anakin (not the Sith part most likely) in that I would want to do what's best for the time being and most likely not think of what that means if I spend a few extra days here. Like you said everyone is worse off being forced to fight in wars, it would be nice if we didn't have war.

First things first: the new webcam is looking great! I agree, the banter when they landed was so much fun and I feel like the smoke was actually in the direction Anakin first suggested which I thought was neat. It's a really tough situation for Obi-Wan and I don't fully disagree with him on this one... As leadership in the army they do have a responsibility to others that are counting on them. As much as they want to help because they're Jedi, if they lose focus on the bigger picture as generals then the war effort suffers. E.g them staying a few days to help save the village helps a few hundred people, but if they were back then the intel they have could be saving thousands of clones. Having to deal with situations where saving these innocents means other innocents die is awful especially for people who -until this war started- haven't had to be making these decisions at all, let alone at this scale and this frequently. It's another example of how everyone is worse off being forced to fight in wars, and I really hope that we eventually reach a point where these choices don't have to be made anymore.

That's exactly it! I feel like the younger jedi like Anakin and Ahsoka are less so following the old way, but wanting to do good, whereas Obi-wan does want to do good but is still wanting to follow the jedi way. It's very interesting to see!

Star Wars day should be an international holiday. I don't know why it isn't

Your frustration with Obi-wan is yet another example of Obi's inner conscience saying he's a jedi, they help people, and these people need help, but he's trying to follow the current order's way of "well unless they ask for it and are directly affected by the war, we really shouldn't be getting involved". The series is already shining a bright light on what the jedi should be, and what they currently are and Obi is unfortunately trying to straddle the line between the two whereas Anakin and Ahsoka are very much in the "we're jedi, we help people" definitive camp.

May the 4th be with you too! Star Wars on Star Wars Day. Perfection.
