New Patreon Billing!!!
Added 2022-09-26 20:33:28 +0000 UTCHey everyone! This may not apply to everyone, but it will apply to everyone when they sign up for the first time. This is something that people have asked for for a while, and here we are.
What's changed?
Creators now have the option to switch their billing where a patron is charged on the day that they sign up, and then every month on that day (instead of on the 1st of every month)
I don't get what the big change is...
Basically, most creators charge you when you first sign up, and then on the 1st afterwards. So if you signed up on September 29th, you would be charged on the 29th, and again on October 1st.
So does this affect current patrons?
No. You will still be charged on the 1st of the month if you are a current patron. This applies to new patrons, OR if you cancel your pledge, then sign up again.
I have switched billing to charge when new patrons sign up, and every month on that date afterwards.
Small changes that make things better in the long run :)

2022-09-29 13:52:51 +0000 UTCSo Twitch has a minimum $ amount before payout. I THINK they changed it to 50$? So you don't get paid until you reach that, and I think you can set your own amount as long as it's higher than 50$. I could be wrong but it's a once a month pay, so if one month you made 45$, you won't get paid until the following month own the pay day.

2022-09-29 13:24:06 +0000 UTCUser choice would be nice yeah, but for creators, the billing all on the 1st of the months helps to have it all at once instead of getting the support throughout the month. Though I personally prefer monthly from the date that I was charged, so I decided to go with that option :D

2022-09-29 13:16:29 +0000 UTCThis was the old manner of billing - let's just say I was shocked when I subscribed to someone after 3 years for the first time at the end of the month and got billed two days in a row. It is appreciated that you would choose the option you did.

I feel like it would be more beneficial from Patreon if it was a user choice (maybe some new people would still prefer it to be on the first due to bills/payday etc.?) But at least there are some options as supporters can just re-pledge on the first if they'd like. Thanks for the transparency, it's interesting to see!
