I was watching their Kaguya reaction thinking the same thing. Their discussions were still good at past but recently with bunny girl senpai, oshi no ko and monogatari they are straight up predicting the next chapters or at least the general theme the author is going for in current arcs

I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts about the upcoming episodes, especially after the insight you both show in your "reading ahead" during the discussion of this episode. It has gotten especially sharp since the start of Monogatari. and it's affected your other series discussions since starting Monogatari as well, in my opinion.

2026-01-22 07:07:17 +0000 UTCCould not agree more about Oikura. She's not my favorite character, but Marina Inoue's performance in her appearances in Owarimonogatari made her my favorite voice actor of the whole series (with Shinichiro Miki's Kaiki a close second for Koimonogatari).

2026-01-22 04:29:24 +0000 UTCOwarimonogatari was the first Monogatari arc that I watched, it got me into the series and it was this episode in particular that made me fall in love with this universe. The performance of Oikura's seijuu is godlike, to this day my throat hurts just by listening to those "kirais". I've seen Armin do and suffer some nasty shit but he never was this upset haha.
