Chapter 220: The Meeting of Two Magical Girls

"Wait, you accepted reality just like that?"

"Well... When I see the character from my beloved story, why wouldn't I?"

Shiro explained to Selesia and the rest before taking a bite on his pizza. They are currently in a pizza house right now, eating tons of food under his wallet. Being a famous mangaka, production director, and screenwriter has its perks. It is supposed to be that his appearance would be much obscure as he is a mangaka, but it became different when many of his readers voted him on a fan poll of a men's magazine.

Despite not being a model, his appearance exceeded any of them. This is the first exposure of Shiro in this world.

"Also, I am involved with your anime adaptation, Selesia-san. Did you call Matsubahara-san here?"

"Matsubara? My author?" She rhetorically asked. "That's right. We were supposed to meet in the afternoon."

As of the moment, they are in Akihabara. Three days had passed since their descent into this world and they found out more about its ACG culture. Naturally, Shiro's identity helped so much as he is involved with the creation of a dozen different manga and anime. Not only that, he also came in contact with the other people of this industry.

"Munch... Fukushiro-kun... Deed wu try making..."

"...We can't understand you." Selesia chided. "Eat first before talking."

Nodding, she proceeded to chow down on the food. Meanwhile, Shiro could not help but look at Kuroneko and Kal'tsit, both of whom are having a staring competition. The two noticed his gaze and immediately made up their excuses.

"We're shocked. That's all."

"...Same goes for me." Kuroneko added.

"Uh... Alright."

"Fukushiro-kun. Revisions. Did you try doing it?"

Meteora's voice brought him back to his puzzlement.

"Revisions? I did not. Doing one in my finished series would be difficult unless a sequel is released. And to be honest, I don't know how to start it yet. I tied every loose ends back when I was writing the ending."

"I see. How about an omake?"

Usually, there is an omake at the end of every volume of a manga. It contains some fanservice or any additional content that can either be canon or non-canon to the main storyline.

"It is possible. Wait a moment."

Shiro took out his smartphone and opened a drawing app called "IbisPaint". Inside, there are many illustrations of his, most of which are published in his Pixiv account in this world. As a popular mangaka, he usually receives tens of thousands of favorites during the first hour.

He created a blank page before his fingers started moving gracefully. Each of it is enticing enough to entertain everyone who was eating. Of course, they did not forget to finish their meals lest it will be cold.

By the time they finished eating, Shiro is already done with his sketch. He did not use any guidelines which made his drawing speed faster than the norm. He also did not have to correct many mistakes due to his experiences given by this mission. All in all, he finished the rough sketch in less than 15 minutes.

"What do you think? I planned for her revision to have something to do with flowers."

"In the last volume..!"

"That's right, Mizushino-san."

What he pertained to is the moment when Madoka sacrificed herself and turned into "Law of Cycles". In a certain scene, flowers bloomed as she bid her farewell to everyone in her world. It is the symbolism that he used, something that tells the readers that she turned the world closer into being a paradise, for the magical girls, that is.

""Shiro.""

Suddenly, both Kuroneko and Kal'tsit who were silent a second ago called out.

"I saw a girl that looks a lot like Madoka-chan." The former stated. "What was her name again... Forget about this. I shall recall her name once I see her."

She stood up before she sprinted to the outside. The others followed her, with Meteora having pizza crumbs in her cheek due to how rushed they were. Seeing this, Shiro took out his handkerchief and gave it to her.

"Wipe those crumbs first. You can just catch up to us later."

She was bewildered at first before she answered, "Mn."

At this time, many people are present for the ACG convention. Dozens of people are walking around the hallway, making it harder to chase after another person. What's more, there are also cosplayers present.

"Sakurai-san?"

Shiro stopped running and saw a slightly lanky man wearing a pair of glasses. A part of his hair already receded as he is almost 40. Most importantly, he is none other than the author of Vogelchevalier—Selesia's creator.

"You're finally here." Shiro said 'exasperatedly'. "You're here because of a fan mail, aren't you?"

"Oh, that's right. How did you..?"

"It's a long story. But for now, we're chasing after a little girl. She's wearing a school uniform, has pink hair, and—..." He suddenly went silent as he realized something. 'Pink hair..? Shouldn't it be her?'

In this world, there's someone who perfectly fits this description aside Madoka. Her character design is something that is directly inspired from Madoka's. Even, her author contacted him and asked for his permission.

"Right. We're looking for a girl who looks like Kirameki Mamika."

"Mamika? Magical Slayer Mamika?"

"Yes. I'll explain everything to you later, can you help us first? The one who made the mail is also with me."

"Is that so? Alright."

"Great. You can check the left wing, I'll check the other one. Let's communicate through LINE."

Without giving Matsubara a chance to reply, Shiro swift ran at another direction.

'How good would it be if we can use our abilities openly.' He thought. 'I hope my luck will help me this time... What?'

Shiro felt a gaze land upon him. It would not be a problem if it came from a normal human, but he sensed the other party's strength through his intuition. Fortunately, it only lasted for a second before disappearing.

'That strangely felt familiar... This world is a fucking mess.'

For now, he decided not to put his mind into the mysteries of this world and focused on the matter at hand instead.

Unfortunately, there are still no signs of the girl after five minutes had passed.

Boom-!

Boom-!

Boom-!

Rumble-!

"Something troublesome is happening."

As the words left his mouth, he followed the people rushing towards the ground floor.

*****

"Kh..."

Nine times. This is the number of attacks that the Magical Girl Mamika had sent. Many people are already wounded and some almost died if not for Meteora's timely interference. As her goal is to reduce the damage in this world, Selesia could not fight back, thus this game of cat and mouse is ongoing for a quarter of an hour already.

If not for her intuition and battle-hardened senses, she would be caught up by this naive girl who only knew one attack magic.

"Magical Splash Flare!"

"Wha—"

Unbeknownst to her, Mamika closed the distance between them and casted the attack magic point-blank.

Bang-!

"Argh!"

She nearly fainted at the impact that it caused. Only her strong will prevented it, though she is still free-falling to the grounx.

Swooosh-!

A dragon-like figure caught her mid-air, leaving the befuddled Mamika behind. She was left flying as she saw the smokes, rubbles, and the terrified gazes of the office workers... all directed towards her.

"Huh? What is..?"

Soon, everything clicked on her. The destruction. The wounded. The smoke bellowing out of the buildings. The rubbles that fell down to the ground.

"I... What..?"

In her world, there's no such things as these. No blood, collaterals, or deaths. There, she fought for her ideals freely—to keep the peace of her world—without worrying about such things occurring. Of course, things are now different in this world. It no longer lacked any details as it is the world with the highest layers of information.

This is the distinction between what is deemed as "fiction" and "reality". Simply put, the former would lack something that the latter has.

"What... did I do?"

"You are..."

Mamika's musings were cut short as she heard a soft voice coming from a certain direction. Upon looking at the source of it, she was surprised. The girl looked very similar to her. From her magical girl outfit down to the color of her hair. Only their hairstyle and their pupils are distinct from each other.

"Who... are you?" Mamika asked blankly.

"Kaname Madoka, a Magical Girl."

*****

A/N: The inspired (Mamika) meets the inspiration (Madoka). That's right! The name "Mamika" came from Mami's "Mami" and Madoka's "ka".
