I JUST now noticed the old man's warning towards Jinshi. He said to be careful about adding new blood to the lineage of royalty, and then affirmed that he knew the Emperor knew better, which meant he addressed that caution towards Jinshi, acknowledging out in the open both that it is known that he has a thing for Maomao serious enough to warrant her becoming a legal wife and that such an interest is, to some degree, supported by those present.
