I like the talk about Tsukihi/Phoenix being Jesus with immaculate conception but if we're using Shinobu's Cuckoo analogy, it's more like the baby's original soul was kicked out of the nest and the Phoenix's soul was implanted

Kaiki - Does not align with traditional human values/constructs, but acknowledges and uses them as a foundation to thrive as a fake through deceit - says he will leave town (goodbye), but doesn't actually leave as we saw him in Mr. Donut haha Oshino - Views everything is of equal value and does not like to directly involve himself unless he perceives the balance is off - he respects traditional human values/constructs by telling Araragi he won't just vanish without saying goodbye, but does it in his own (indirect) way and knows the gesture will be accepted as an equivalence (and actually leaves).

2025-04-24 05:32:07 +0000 UTCTsukihi's admission of her "justice" being fake because she's swayed by those around her makes a lot more sense when you discover in this episode that she's lived and died and reincarnated for potentially a thousand lifetimes: She's unable to adapt to human life except by riding the events and emotions of the people around her. Another interesting thing to watch for, I know Ben and Anna both have said "Wow" to things Tsukihi has said, is whenever Tsukihi talks to anyone, think about how mature philosophically her words are: Even though she doesn't know or can't remember her inumerable past lives, those experiences give her a wisdom that belies her years.
