I think you deserve some throwbacks from season 1. 1 - on S1E5 at exacly 9:10 megumi says "my father who gave me the name of megumi with no regard about my gender, is still off living as he pleases somewhere", take your own conclusions 2 - Megumi has inherited the 10 shadows cursed technique, the main one from Zen'in clan, and even Sukuna said to him "what a waste of talent", so that implies that he is talented, also "megumi" means "blessing"
