Daz was the one freaking out back in season 1 right before pyxis' speech and Samuel was the guy who Sasha saved from falling to death when the walls were breached a second time. They definitely weren't just random cadets that the gang just happened to be with off screen.

2023-02-06 23:40:17 +0000 UTCDaz and Samuel are definitely cadets that were mentioned before. Samuel is the one who fell off the wall in Trost when the Colossal Titan first arrived in s1e5. Sasha ran down the wall and shot her anchor through his leg to catch him. Daz was the one who often got yelled at by Jean for being a coward in Trost and was the one Ymir and Historia saved from the snow in the flashback from s2e5. As you'd expect from AOT, these were side characters but they weren't nobodies.

2023-02-06 20:35:23 +0000 UTCsamuel and daz: samuel had realy short screen time in season 1.. when the colossel titan appeared in trost (episode 4-5) samuel was the uncouncious soldier that fell from the wall.. sasha ran down after him and stabbed samuel leg with her odm gear and saved he's life. daz showen from episode 3 listening to eren titan stories.. he was used to be the scared soldier, at some point he was so willing to run away he meant to fight he's supperior and got stopped by marco. in season 2 there was Ymir and Christa journey at the snowing mountain... christa carrying unconcious daz. thats around how much we got from them.. before the traitor of humanity.. connie springer killed them - i found it interesting sasha saved samuel and connie ended he's life.

2023-02-06 19:54:13 +0000 UTCThis episode was probably the one I was looking forward to the most this season besides Two Brothers. This moment is handled perfectly, the score is impeccable. The story successfully makes the audience and main characters feel the exact emotions that the villains of seasons 1-3 were feeling the whole time. “I don’t want to kill people…but someone has to…if I agree to talk, will you all agree to die?” 😭 Bertholt is so incredible Additionally if any mods feel the need, maybe consider warning them that next ep has an after credits, other reactors like FilmBuff have missed it before because the ending of the ep is emotional and feels final.
