I'm not a manga reader so this is a spoilers for me lol, ofc I would expect ksaver's monkey to looks different to zeke's , weaker cuz he didn't have any militar training, but did not expect it to be a completely different animal, now the dinosaurs intro makes more sense xd

And if they successfully try to avoid listening to the OP, it starts without warning after the cold opens anyway. Chances are they will be casually watching the episode, will hear the word before it can be muted, and then know that it is a literal spoiler in English. Because you told them it was.

It's their choice to not watch the intros as well, not something their fans demanded of them "or else". They said many times they go out of their way to avoid spoilers, they tell all of their friends who watch AOT not to say a thing, they avoid googling anything AOT related, etc. It's their wish to stay spoiler-free as much as possible, and we're just trying to help them in achieving their own goal. Intro for Season 4 part 2 is extremally spoiler heavy, and I don't mean the visuals, I mean the lyrics, English lyrics of that song. That's why I'm informing them about that fact - they can decide on their own what they want to make of it, but I'm sure as hell they'd like to be told before they're just dropped that bomb by listening to it for the first time.

I saw reactors last year get spoiled *by their comment section* telling them that the OP was literal. Even Autosave had their experience of the basement episode somewhat tarnished because they thought they weren’t “allowed” to watch the post credit scene. I think over protective fans stepping in like this to tell people to skip parts of the show does more harm than good. They already don’t watch the intros personally I don’t think it’s worth telling them to go above and beyond that.

It's not a problem because one of the major philosophical issues that emerges through this narrative is about what drives our choices, whether we are free and what the conditions of such are, and to what extent nature and nurture impact the "freeness" of our choices. We are absolutely meant to be second guessing their agency, because that's a great slab of the whole point.

The future memory scene effectively primes the audience to expect some sort of time manipulation twist, and unfortunately the result is that the audience is always left second guessing the agency of the characters because of manipulation or predestination. This becomes more of a problem as time goes on and unfortunately one of the things that mars the story in general

His beast form is implied by the stuffed animal, and the fact that "his beast is not useful in war" while zeke's obviously is would indicate their beasts are different. We already know all titan shifters have unique titan forms

The lyrics tell you exactly what spoilers you're looking at (IN ENGLISH), so if you go with your usual "we listen to the music but no looking" approach, you're gonna be spoiled either way... so might as well just watch it and give us (and yourselves!) a full reaction to the whole thing, the intro is quite awesome actually. Either way, definitely don't just try to avoid it by not looking. In this particular case, that's pointless. Neither saves you from spoilers, nor gives you an opportunity for a full, good reaction.

2022-12-31 22:51:15 +0000 UTCanime spoilers i love when reactors acknowledge that wiping everyone else out is a potential solution but refuse to ever believe that that is exactly what Eren is planning because i feel like everyone kind of had those thoughts in this period of the story, at least I know I did. I'm not sure if it was because I didn't think that the story would go that way or that surely Eren wouldn't do that. But its funny because in hindsight it just seems really obvious with the ending line of season 3, everything Eren did in the Marley attack and all the very notable lines throughout the series.
