The Final Word live in Sydney - tomorrow

Start as you mean to go on, they say. Which in our case means sending the first Wednesday email of the year out on a Saturday. Look, there has been a Test match to think about. Rizwan is attempting a ridiculous appeal against David Warner as we type. 

But the most important thing is that the Sydney live show with TFW hero Michael Bevan has not yet happened. It's Sunday night at the Comedy Store, which is right next to the SCG. So come along if you're in town - tickets here. 

Our run of TFW Daily shows for this match have been good fun, even the echo chamber of the stairwell when it was raining, and there have been significant moves afoot this week with Cricket Australia's top brass explicitly saying that they need to do more to support Test cricket in nations with less healthy balance sheets.
