All episodes should be recorded in castles

It's a new season of The Final Word. So we bought a castle to celebrate. Ok, we very briefly obtained partial use of a castle. You'll have to listen to the weekly show to figure out what we're on about. But here is the view.

Our self-appointed record keeper Michael Holden says that with all of the daily shows from a T20 World Cup through to the India series, Season 13 encompassed 124 episodes in 175 days. No wonder we're tired.

On to the next?

Season 14, Ep 1:This week the Australian board put a new pay deal in place with huge significance for the women's game, and the English board finished its disciplinary hearing into racist behaviour at Yorkshire. Bharat Sundaresan joins Geoff to make an attempt at drawing conclusions. Also the IPL gets underway with Old Man Dhoni still clearing fences, South Africa edge closer to a World Cup spot, and Ireland start their first ever Test series in Bangladesh.

Story Time 129 – The varied children of Mr T

It's Story Time, our weekly walk through cricket history via your listener quiz challenges. This week, a time when Zimbabwe ruled the world and Henry Olonga set it alight. Which of the great players is most undervalued, and why is the answer is Zaheer Abbas? The origin stories for a moustachioed icon and for the best to ever do a certain job. And the way that we answer answers that we can't answer.

Archive ep: Deadwood, Preacher, and the cheese cube method

Reloading lost episodes from the early days we've wound back to Season 3, Ep 4. In 2016 David Warner was on one of the hottest batting streaks in one-day cricket history. After saying that it was his worst format, he cracked the code, and we wondered what his character would be like in anime. Our ABC colleague Brittany Carter joined us to talk WBBL in its second season, and we worked out methods to measure the relative numerousness of 637,000 people.

Here's the ep.

Yes, got those two mixed up in the heat of the moment. Thanks Gary.

Loved the episode lads! Slight correction, Ireland-Bangladesh is just a one off Test, Ireland then go to Sri Lanka for two tests in Galle.
