Hello from Ahmedabad. First of all, yes, we are still very bad at sending out the Wednesday email on Wednesday. In fact this is the one from last Wednesday which is going out this Wednesday. Meaning we will need another one when the new weekly show is ready in the next few hours. Whoops.
But last Wednesday was the first day of the Indore Test, so perhaps you could forgive us being distracted. Someone called Matt Kuhnemann took 5 for 16. And it was just after a one-run win for New Zealand, which conveniently managed to finish after we'd recorded that week's show.
Season 13, Ep 25: There was also the small matter of a Women's T20 World Cup hat-trick for Australia, and a five-wicket final over to decide the domestic 50-over final in favour of Tasmania. And especially for long-term listeners of this show was a much-demanded return for Happy Birthday Sachin, with the closest we have ever come to the truth of it via an encounter with Bollywood actor Saiyami Kher.

Get ready for a special. One of the dodgiest characters we've yet had the dubious pleasure of meeting on the show, plus a one-day record you've never heard of that will never be broken, some more scorecard chicanery from the 1800s, another descendant of the Furphy clan, and the style icons of the 1990s.

Plenty going on with the daily shows if you haven't been up to date, or if you want to stay that way. We've been doing video updates from various travel spots - see the old Gateway to India video up top - and there are preview and aftermath shows for the Tests given how short and densely packed they've been.
We also had a second book launch for Bharat in his home town of Mumbai. Even his mum came to see The Miracle Makers get its moment, and to celebrate in true Final Word style with a chocolate milkshake. Wholesome? Yes.

Small lady, big milkshake.
