Candids from recent China trip - part 1

I went to China last month and traveled all over the country with some friends! I had this brilliant idea of just taking photos and then drawing Bailin and Li Yun characters in them - it's a fun way of showing where I've been without posting photos of myself, lmao. These ones are from some places I visited in Xinjiang, a northwestern province in China, where the cuisine is amazing and meaty. It's negative 30 degrees Celsius there in the winter and it was SO COLD my eyelashes started forming icicles within fifteen minutes, even next to a bonfire. It's so cold even Bailin and his brother Huilin need to wear a layer or two to feel comfortable.

OH and everybody there wore the cutest winter hats!! They either made to look like they had fluffy ears (fox ears, bears, pandas, cats, etc) or they were made with beautiful patterned wool. Even the old men and the youngest children wore them, so of course I had my characters wear theirs too.

I'll draw some photos of Suzhou (a city about a 30 min high speed rail ride away from Shanghai, or 2 hour drive) next!
