Outlast Ending

Okay everyone, I thought I was keeping up with the story while playing BUT on editing I have actually ended up faaaar more confused and I am especially confused about the ending of this game hahahaha. They mentioned finding something in the mountain before - was this a lie? It wasn't supernatural at all right? Some sort of nanotech to lucid dream with?? How comes Billy could - seemingly - fly around and travel through walls and stuff in some areas but not others?! Also I didn't realise until the end that Miles is the perfect host after all the horror he saw in the asylum though so... blimey... I hope you enjoy this last part anyway! Just a little something for Halloween :)

It was technology, the asylum was a front for experimentation of human hosts to get them to lucid dream and control a swarm of nano robots (the 'ghost' is just a bunch of microscopic nanites)... religious lunacy thinking the "wallrider" was some god etc. I'm guessing game logic for how he moves. And yeah, the priest basically thinks it's himself that is chosen but it's actually hinting at you being the host.
