Damn, just caught up on this and I'm really bummed by the fact the save system broke. You're just getting to the point where the game gets really good IMO and becomes an all time classic, massive shame if this is the end of the series

2023-11-21 10:29:04 +0000 UTCDid you end up checking your auto save? RE4R auto saves pretty often and it probably made one upon chapter completion. What platform are you on? PC / Steam? I'm assuming you tried verifying your game files, if so?

The power it has lets you get a lot of easy melee followups by blowing up the knees or a good shot to the head, it really just lacks the penetration of the Punisher. Once you get the stock on it really takes off

2023-11-18 22:50:09 +0000 UTCYeah the Red9 is pretty awful, at least imo, that's why I didn't pick it. Some people do like it but I find it very finnicky and unreliable. I found even the original gun far more reliable. I also went with the sting sniper rifle. I didn't spend on reload nor speed because imo those can be compensated for by just backing away a bit and waiting for a reload. There's some mechanics and items which you've missed so far but I don't want to spoil them in case they come up organically down the road.

2023-11-18 18:07:44 +0000 UTCI am PRAYING the autosave worked as it will only set you back 10 mins max. Keeping everything crossed this issue resolves itself! If it makes you feel any better you didn't miss any small keys in this entire episode(lol) you're all good.

Which just makes it suck even more with how the end just turned sour real quick. I sincerely hope that there is a solution as I agree, it would be awful if you had to literally replay everything again...

Having to escort Ashley through the room, then over that little bridge thing where she cranks the platforms up all the while shooting enemies coming for her and you, damn. You did well for such a stressful situation :) I hope you can fix whatever is wrong with the saves, i would be very sad if this series stopped now :(

Surely he'd be made aware that Ada is alive and still playing in his court during that time. Then again, I thought for sure that the shadowy woman dumping a rocket launcher at him at the end of RE2 gave it away. Really enjoying all the times you want to restart and do it better. These games have whole modes of play designed for that. Think you could finish RE2 in under 2 hours? Hardcore S rank run someday, let's go!
