BBKAZ day 2024 PROCESS
Added 2024-09-21 08:08:50 +0000 UTCHey guys!! Happy BBKAZ day! Here's a look into the process for how I made this pic. It was inspired by MC Eshcer's "Puddle".
To make this work I went through a lot of trial and error setting up my blender scene for the background. Eventually I settled on rendering the background out twice; one with a reflective plane on the area I needed to mask out for the puddle, and one plain one. Then in CSP I made this clipping mask to snap my drawing and the reflection BG over and laid that over the normal BG.
I finished it off in photoshop for color correction and adding the water ripple effect, then back into clip for the retro film effect I applied to the bottom part of the image to draw the eye there.
