Animating Arms Original Animatic/Rough Cut
Added 2023-06-18 06:25:15 +0000 UTCHi! I had this floating around, and realized Patreon would be a good place to drop/archive it, now that I've gotten used to their video feature.
This was the original rough cut/animatic of the Animating Arms video, dated 8/8/2022. It probably gives you a good idea of the kind of work I do to prep a final video, which I plan to have a small section about in the 100k QnA coming up.
It's somewhere between a "rough cut" and an animatic, where I pose Doodley and Gimberly where I need them to test their timing, movements, where I want them to be on-screen, etc.
It still uses the test track I used throughout most of editing (Shipmeisters' Humoresque from Kingdom Hearts), but at the end uses what is now my ending theme, a track made by Jayfoo called Starfruit. I originally rendered this out to show him what I had planned so he knew what kind of music to make.
One of the weird parts of this video vs everything I've made since is, I wasn't confident in my script reading abilities, so I more or less had points to hit and then rambled as though I was giving a presentation. Some of the awkward reads make more sense with that in mind, but nowadays I'm much more confident reading scripts.
This is gonna be a year old soon, which further motivates me to get my butt into gear!! Time is flying too fast!! Aaaah!
