Note on CH 123 Player 0.6 (Part 1)

I considered to just post it, as I tend to overthink things and in the past the chapters I overthought on landed well with readers… but I wrote it while suffering from a migraine and this is a pretty important chapter in the novel. I want to make sure the segment is introduced as intended.
I’m going to revise it after work and upload it then.

For example, I have run into the tragic case of many novels abruptly ending because the author had passed away from an illness they’ve been fighting: kinda felt like authors be dropping dead left and right. But I’d guess it’s mainly because I’ve read so many that the few cases stood out. There’s one novel in particular I get super sad about. Though on the note of migraines, I haven’t had them since high school—I actually went to the ER this time around because it got so bad. The doctor there essentially said I’ve probably been staring at my computer screen too much and to go outside more. *facepalm* So maybe writers look at their screens too much and that’s why they get more migraines? Ionno.

2023-08-03 06:03:06 +0000 UTCconfirmation bias and the demographics of authors writers are in the age range where migraines are the most common and having a pretty equal gender distribution (women are more likely to suffer from migraines) and the nature of the work making migraines something that basically stops writing there are also likely lifestyle factors that increase the probability of migranes and you are following people on patreon, where there isn't a backlog of at least a few chapters that an author can pull out and post even if there isn't a new one ready

2023-08-03 02:37:48 +0000 UTCI don't mean this in a malicious, passive-aggressive, or negative way at all; why do so many writers complain about migraines? It seems like a common trend among a lot of the Patreon/RR writers I follow to make a post about having them and needing to step back or "sorry for posting late because...migraine". I'm crap at writing so I've never spent much (read: any) time doing it. Is getting migraines just one of the things that comes with writing. Or is it just a small sample size and confirmation bias that I have? Thank you for keeping on going! We all appreciate you!
