Belle and Astra piece progress pics!

Here's the screenshots I took during the process of making this piece! I wanted to try to draw them dancing in that field of flowers like in the MV and as always I try to convey a feeling more than anything else. In this case I wanted something both serendipitous and intimate but still almost like the feeling of being on an empty stage. I settled on a wide pose with parallel but converging line of actions from both Belle and Astra and played with the angle to try and make the back ground feel close to a fish eye lens shot. I hope this helped convey movement and focus! (•̀ᴗ•́ )و

As always I tend to edit as I go along and you can see that namely in Astra's face per pic as I changed the emotion from what started out as more sensual, to something more innocent and joyful hopefully to match the growing more whimsical feeling this piece was falling into.

From there it was rather simple to color and render but ohmygod there where a lot of consistency errors and lack of detail shots in that MV (no judgement, animation is really hard) so I kind of had to choose certain frames to reference and then fill in the gaps when the detail was lacking.;;; Like how there where no close up shots of Belle's shoes so I just had to guess and then when I was nearly done I saw what looked like lacing in just a handful of frames and had to make an executive decision to love myself and not go back and add that when I was nearly done lmao.
