About our promises
Added 2020-01-03 10:56:15 +0000 UTCIn December, we promised to add a new section and did almost everything to make this happen without delay...
But
On December 18, we received a notice from the legal department of Unity that:
1. The Freedom Club logo infringes copyright because it is identical to the Unity logo. (????? No comments...)
2. We use the Unity trademark for our own selfish commercial purposes. (despite the fact that we do not sell or distribute products developed by Mr. Daniel McDonald and use the word Unity to describe the content of the site and not for marketing purposes or others that violate his rights)
The entire remainder of December we had to spend on a detailed study of legal issues, consultation and response steps to protect our own rights and freedoms.
So was Christmas Eve and the New Year holidays ...
By today, we can say that the site, domain name and hosting are working as usual and no changes are expected. We believe that our hosting provider and the content distribution network we use are listening to our arguments.
There is always the risk that in modern society the rights and freedoms of small groups are simply and easily violated by the capabilities and pressure of corporations, even if there are no actual reasons for doing this.
But we are ready for any action on their part.
Plans for updating and updating our site are postponed to January. We apologize for the forced delay.
