Sometimes the best music for an RPG sesh is that which is least distracting. No drums, no big brass and spiccato strings, and maybe even no melody at all. For sessions where planning, puzzle solving, or intense conversations are key, a neutral valence textural playlist is what will suit the scene best. Alternatively, maybe you just want to keep your players guessing! Is this room calm? Threatening? Unimportant? The key to everything? Detached soundscapes allow you to avoid spelling out what the adventurers "should" be feeling.
So here's DnD Ambient! This playlist is filled with slow moving works with largely mixed instrumentation. Yes, there are arcing string chords, but there are also spaced out electric guitars, moody atmospheric electronic works, and contemporary classical. It's really a hodgepodge, but I think it's quite cohesive nonetheless.
This Spotify playlist has surprisingly few tracks of mine, but that is going to change soon! This Friday I'll be releasing Music d20: Atmospheres on bandcamp and streaming services. This album has some of my recent tracks as well as an assortment of sparse / ambient arrangements of previous Music d20 jams. Previously, these were locked behind the my Artist Tier, but this Friday I'll be releasing the variants from that album to all of my patrons.

I've added this playlist to my master Spotify Playlist post. Speaking of which: if you haven't checked out my whole range of playlists, definitely consider giving them a listen! While I think the Music d20 tracks on my playlists are quite good, I also would lose my mind if I had to only listen to Will Savino originals. There's lots of cool stuff on these playlists that are worth your attention!
