Wow, Look At This Empty Forest!

I think most of you who follow me know that I like to make music that's big and bold and interesting, but I also know that some moments call for a lot more SPACE. As such, I'm going to be releasing some more "stripped down" versions of tracks. This doesn't mean I'm going to making fewer "true" variants; just that I'll occasionally be ripping apart some of my old and new tracks alike to make bare-bones versions.
First up is "Greenleaf!" This instantly became one of my favorite Music d20 tracks when I released it. It's "cinematic," enchanting, and calm while still being interesting. That's always a goal of mine: even in my more relaxed tracks, there should be SOMETHING happening to create a bit of interest. Some noteworthy harmonies, complex textures, or unexpected melodies. To me, "Greenleaf" has all of that in spades. It's propulsive without being needlessly intense, and it establishes (I think!) a clear setting while still being usable for a variety of scenarios.
I figured I'd try to strip that down and see if I can maintain that same sense of wonder and intrigue while keeping things as sparse as possible. I think I generally succeeded! Throw this on as your party first wanders into a wood that maaay be enchanted, or maybe as they peruse an ancient library that was perhaps once full of life. Certainly magical, but also dormant. That's the vibe here!
