Iido Daimyo's Castle | Collaboration with Tom Cartos

Today, I'm bringing to you a brand new collaboration with the incredible mapmaker Tom Cartos. This stunning Japanese-style castle map is the culmination of a series of maps Tom has been making over the past month. The story he has been telling that links all these maps ends at the Daimyo Lord Katamori's castle. This map has multiple furnished floors, and an underground passage. Tom was generous enough to provide the daytime map for all of my Patrons to check out, and he has oodles of variants over at his Patreon.

Please give Tom's Patreon a look. He's so insanely detailed, and he also provides assets for you to throw together your own maps if you want to customize to your heart's content. You can grab links to this map here: PDFs and JPGs

My track for this map is a Japanese-inspired combat track "Storming the Daimyo." It's got everything you want out of an East Asian battle tune: thumping taiko drums, plucky koto, and emotive shakuhachi. I've been watching a lot of martial arts movies lately, and I've always been greatly inspired by the music of Toru Takemitsu. While this track is certainly more "game-y" that some of those cinematic masterpieces, I think it'll sound right at home for your next dojo duel.

I'm sharing a version with no percussion and only percussion for folks at the Artist Tier and up. Thanks y'all!
