In the Lively Tavern
Added 2020-06-05 19:02:53 +0000 UTCI know it's almost too cliché these days, but I still love roleplaying taverns. It's a great way to establish the vibe of town, get some plot hooks, and flesh out the relationships between the PCs. It's such an iconic part of fantasy RPGs, and while you can find thousands of tavern tunes on Spotify etc, I only have one other track that could constitute as both "tavern-y" and also "lively." I think this version does a great job of setting the mood for a busy and spirited local drinking hole.
Beyond that, "Caro's Song" has a triple meter that is perfect for maritime adventures. Imagine a pirate crew grabbing their crappy lutes and tambourines and doing their best to put on a spirited performance.
If you like Caro's Song, patrons at the Artist tier get to hear a beautifully sung performance by my partner, and patrons at the Virtuoso tier and above get to hear a solo version sung by yours truly. I like this tune, so I recorded 3 versions. I hope you like it too!
