... AND I just want to explain to anyone who has sent me a message (on any platform, recently or ever) that it can be a bit of a struggle to keep up - I try to get back to as many people as I can, but it sometimes take weeks or even months, and I often find I can't reply to everyone.
So, thank you all - for your support, your messages, your photos, and your patience and understanding! And my sincere apologies to anyone who writes to me and doesn't get the response they hoped for.

Gone are the days when Leo said he didn’t even want a gps on board. I echo his comments about paper charts though; invaluable. As a captain of my acquaintance once said: ‘I’ve never seen an electronic system yet that could cope with a wave through the wheelhouse’.

2025-08-23 19:21:54 +0000 UTCMy dog (Ellie) and I got to great Tally Ho and crew coming into the bay from our boat. Leo waved as I took pictures. Cool memory. Hopefully there is a meetup but if not, no big deal. Leo has a huge journey ahead. Maybe I can catch him as he comes back around one day. Maybe I’ll be cruising somewhere and bump into Tally Ho on the other side of the world.
