Australian Wooden Boat Festival 2025
Added 2025-01-15 01:45:11 +0000 UTCI'm very excited to announce that I'll be giving a talk at the Australian Wooden Boat Festival next month. If you can't make it, don't worry - I do hope to film the talk to release on YouTube (as long as I don't mess it up too badly!)
I'll be travelling to Hobart with a few of the Tally Ho crew (on a plane, alas), and we hope to meet some of you at the festival. We're staying for a couple of weeks so if you live in Tasmania I'd love to hear from you - we're interested in recommendations for things to do after the festival and we would also love to rent a vehicle from somebody local - thanks!

Hey Leo, fantastic news that you giving us Tasweigans a visit and a talk. I think once you hit the festival, you will get heaps of locals giving you leads of what to see and do. eg Wooden Boat Centre in Franklin for something nautical or "MONA for something arty. etc etc "Tally-Ho" has become a boat building term of reference in the Tasmanian wooden boating community - the yard stick of boat building standards. Will be great to meet yourself and the crew. Happy to show you around the Derwent River bays and boat sheds (via the water) if you are at a loose end. But i suspect your time here in Tas will evaporate quickly! cheers Matt
