Happy New Year! (A look back at 2024)

Hey everyone,

I know this update is a bit later than usual, but the holiday period was incredibly hectic. I'll explain more about that shortly. First, let's recap the goals I set for myself at the start of 2024:

My goals for 2024:

• Complete chapter four, releasing update 0.4.8

• Increase patreon membership to 500, with 60 paid subscribers.

• YouTube subscribers reaches 400

• A minimum of six video releases

• Create more content bundles (images / requests) for subscribers

• Complete remaster of the chapter one scenes (based on user feedback)

I managed to release 0.4.8 and even squeezed in a 0.4.9! As always, there were many lessons learned with the latest release, especially with the addition of the walkthrough system, which led to several bugs—some of them quite game-breaking!

Currently, I have 794 members, with 90 being (or having been in the last month) paying supporters. This is far beyond any guess I could have made a year ago. I'm truly thankful for your support. Reading messages from players who want to see more of Cindy or share their theories about the game really brings a smile to my face. Even the wild ones make me chuckle.

I didn't do anything with YouTube this year. I have ideas, but no time. My focus is on making this game the best it can be. YouTube is secondary to that. 0.4.8 was a very 'lewd' update, so I couldn't put my idea of recording scene-making into practice. However, with the next update, I should be able to do that—though it runs the risk of real spoilers, as the next update is planned to be the last (to the story).

Content bundles and the remaster are ongoing projects. I plan to release the second part of Kimiko's defloration.tv scene. As for the remaster, I need to review the list and decide which scene(s) will be next. I may open this up to a new poll.

Overall, not bad. It's not 100% achieved, but I'm proud of the progress I've made.

What I'm not happy with is that update 0.4.9 was leaked with a trojan. This virus was not added by me, and the site in question stated that I (as the developer) had nothing to do with it. However, this didn't stop some misguided individuals from contacting me with aggressive accusations that I had infected their PCs.

Aside from the obvious, I tried my best to warn players as soon as I could. For the record, any game links I provide will be free from viruses or trojans, but I always recommend giving all files you download a quick scan. I'd even suggest running these types of games in a VM environment.

0.4.9.... C?

There will be another version releasing 'soon.' I noticed a few long-standing problems that are quite game-breaking. I always try to preserve everyone's save games. As a player myself, I know how annoying it can be to re-tread the same content every time a dev releases an update.

This has meant jumping through some convoluted hoops to ensure the right information carries over to the next update. However, it looks like anyone not on an exclusive Louise or Louise + Danielle route will likely need to start over from a fresh game.

Given the sheer amount of changes I've made (plus the remastering of many images) and adjustments to the story, I recommend a fresh playthrough leading up to the release of chapter 5. I promise to do everything in my power to ensure saves will carry over from 0.4.9c to 0.5.0 and beyond.

Because of the above, the update will take a little longer to be released. I'm currently working through every possible route, trying to ensure it progresses correctly. This also includes characters mentioning things they should not be aware of. I'll include a current list of changes next week.

Speaking of next week, I'll be talking about the future goals for 2025, expectations for the year, and (if I get time) the start of the 0.5.0 update progress map.

Before I leave you, I spent some of my free time over the last few days completing a label map of the game. These images show how each scene progresses into another.

This is not a list of choices made, only of the game scenes (or labels). you can see how chapter one starts quite linearly, but as each chapter get's longer, the complexity increases.

Don't worry, I am not expecting you to be able to read the label names, this is purely to see the boxes and how they progress into each other.
