Dreams of Reality - Chapter Three: Part Two Release date.

Yes, you read that title right - I am now in a position to announce the release date of the next update to Dreams of Reality.

But, before I do that, I'm going to deliberately fill this space... only joking, The first Patreon release will be Friday 30th July followed seven days later with the public release (6th August).

This is sooner than originally intended, due in part to me breaking the third chapter up into three updates. A couple of months ago I talked about the possibility of doing this. 

I know many of you are fine with waiting longer for the release but I feel splitting this update and releasing with what I have completed is the right thing to do. I've been debating this internally for a couple of weeks, but the scope of what I want to do in order to round out the chapter, means another solid couple of months development. In fact, releasing this update now allows me to expand the story to what I had originally intended.

Additionally, with some newfound skills (hah!) I am able to design a system within the renpy engine that should make what's coming a lot more engaging. 

With all that said, you may be wondering "How big is the update?" Naturally this depends on your choices in the game, someone that avoids all the encounters and rushes the text will probably be finished in 20 minutes. However, if (like me) you tend to explore the different paths, each path will vary from 45 - 1h of content.

So what's left to do? Currently I'm updating a couple of the in-game systems with more meaningful flavour text, this should be completed tonight. My editor/proof reader has the unenviable task of running through my script and reminding me to dot the t's and cross the i's.

Playtesting is ongoing - I've run through the game myself, but I will be sending a version out to my beta testers soon. Once that's done there's the final variable map I create so I know I've captured them all (seriously, this step is important!) and then out for the walkthrough and android versions, as well as an advanced copy to the mod maker.

Will be streaming again tomorrow (Saturday 17/07 8PM (UK TIME)) not sure what the topic will be, thinking of playing with Elise...

Next Friday will be for supporters only, where I'll go into more detail about what's coming up and will be able to share the change log for 0.3.5.
