show me the numbers how loud?

No, check this yourself haha. You need to go as loud as your reference. Keep in mind that the way you measure has an effect on the "balance". So, make sure you reference with a good song and not an obscure dude. Next balance your song the same way ish. Keep in mind that referencing with mp3's will show 1db extra so back off 1 db.  Last check your master on loudness penalty and see what the correction is and how it sounds.

1) whenever you convert a wave file into MP3, it will add a certain amount of dB. It's just how it works, and the lower the quality your MP3 codec is, the more dBs it will add.

As always great insight and thx Guido! However I still have 2 short questions regarding the topic: 1) with mp3 are they always appearing 1db louder or only when warp is turned on? I remember from my ableton days that the mp3s where clipping at 0db when warp mode was turned on. 2) Does Spotify still turn down the volume even when you uncheck the setting for volume compensation in the preferences? Thx a lot Guido πŸ™

Thanks Guido! :)
