Please move with caution when tuning a kick drum. I highly suggest working with quality sample packs instead and just popping in an eq.

It generates static sub frequencies so.. let your imagination run free

Are there any other tasks that those bass generators are good for? I have bx subsynth and mbassador but never really was able to use it

Anyway - it's the truth to choose good sample. And be careful when changing tune more than 1 or 2 semitones. Because of changing pitch, you change the length and all frequencies are delayed (if you do it for 5 semitones down, the lenght of the kick is increased by 33%). The fundamental frequency can be delayed too much and as long as you don't need really long kick, it can mess up. I had this problem and really got crazy wtf when I realize what was going on. That's why changing the kick octave up to check the main frequency won't translate sometimes when it's back in the sub region.
