Order of mixing and when plus how do I reference?

My order generally is to get the band to Jam together and after the leads/singers etc.
Drums, Bass, percussive melodics, long melodics, (staccato and then legato). After the singer/lead etc. Get the magical moment and go to my TextEdit and make sure the magic stays throughout the whole song.
After I will reference with a limiter.
