1. Cut, 2. De ess, then eq, reverb etc.. nectar only for unmasking. I think it's in that vocal processing video.

So just being transparent: I literally used Nectar and did the "vocal assistant" thing on her tracks. Then I bounced out those stems back into the production after processing (since Nectar is CPU heavy).
I guess my question is: should I go back and try to de-ess again at the START of the chain (I think Nectar put the de-ess after some EQing), or should I just try to de-ess the stems I bounced out to the main production?
I'm also wondering for the vocal volume inconsistency... should I use something like vocal rider on the bus to fix that? or an LA2A with a lighter setting? Or manually volume automate?
