EDIT: Drums (I use the old UAD version): optical threshold around 10, medium attack, fast recover. Kinda same on the discrete part slow attack fast release. sidechain in (it will only compress above 90-100hz. Then pick your flavor. i like steel for tight low end. in mastering scenario (new PA) i use it more as a colouring tool. hope that helps

Hey Guido. i bought Shadow Hills from pluginalliance they had it reduced from 299 to 29 bucks. I understand opto and vca conceptually. have read the manual and get the plugin. i basically understand compression because of how you taught it. That said, please can you do a deep dive and give us your take on this plugin maybe with a few different types of use cases 1) master, how much reduction are you going for at each stage as a rule? 2) bass, drums, melodics etc. Would be cool to watch you mess around with it.
