I totally understand that, I would only use amps if you can not get tops. Otherwise an EQ. It can get a little wonky otherwise. Also make sure to click the mono button on the amp so you get back stereo information.

I will think about my Setup and Plugin usage more.
The problem is, every unit is doing something special (which i think) I miss in the sound. Like the waves channel strip (TG-something), which gives a bit more βbrillianceβ in specific higher frequencies, or the usage of amps, which gives more higher overtones to make the sound fuller and brighter.
I will revisit all steps I did and units i used in this track and think about the βwhyβ - in comparison with your βpragmaticβ steps to get this mixed well.
