What does it take to make a loud master?

Had a question come in on how to make a loud master. Have a look and if any of you have questions just ask :).
1. Have your mix as punchy as you need to and use parallel processing via sends (harmonic compression, drum compression etc)
2. Compression again set to punchy on the master (the more emphasis on transients the louder and more obnoxious it will seem)
3. EQ, enhance the track.. generally go for the presence. Too much bass will sound too wolly and again not punchy
4. Limit once where the limiter just tickles the meter on crazy loud peaks but see it more as a gain knob with an extra little function. 0db headroom
5. Limit once more with -0.1db headroom for online release and slide down the threshold until you hear audible distortion. Back back up till it disappears.
