I think it is a fantastic episode, It indeed has few surprises, but so what, learning nothing new and being boring are very different. The full arc of Londo's tragic fate is capped and for all those that loved this character, it is indeed very emotional, however expected it was. The short dialog with G'kar was great as well and yeah, I kinda like the Drakh as a force of darkness, even though it is a bit on the nose. I do find the whole Lennier-Delenn plot line rather uninteresting.

I liked this better than you did...but I totally get what you're saying. I think this again falls under the list of things that we saw entirely too much of in S4 because they thought they were not getting a S5 while making S4....I can't say for sure, but a lot of the "repeated" things we see in this season, were things that mostly happened in S4...The regent having/getting a keeper, the revelation of the Drakh, Delenn and Lennier, etc. Remember that to the Minbari, saving face, or allowing another to save face has a great deal of value, and Delenn was attempting to allow Lennier to gracefully get out out of the awkward situation his confession creates...He only admitted that because he thought they were going to die...once realizing they *weren't* going to die, all Lennier wants is to put the cat back in the bag...and Delenn gives him the opportunity...that absolute last thing lennier wants is to have a conversation about this, because they both know that will only hurt him more...

At this point we're all just tying everything together to prepare for the end. The drama of how it happened is the best part. As far as Delenn and Lennier, I don't know if it's a Minbari thing or what, but it is a bit hard for us to grasp. However, people do act this way, and it can be destructive. Delenn sees Lennier as a brother so she can never send him away and Lennier is too immature with love to let her go. They are both in the wrong here and we hate to see it. Our heroes should know better, but JMS is always throwing in those pesky flaws!

I'm with you on this one. I'm not a massive fan of the prophecy narrative formula, where we get glimpses in the proposed future. I've come to feel the same about prequels too. So when you get to moments like these, for me, they can tend to feel a little underwhelming. That doesn't make them bad or unworkable. But I feel that it takes a very skilled writer to layout a tapestry that delivers on this very slight nonlinear viewing experience. Which again makes me agree with you on the topic of this narrative-spaining we just saw. If there one thing I prefer you hide well as a writer, and that's the lazy overuse of exposition. That G'Kar moment is a highlight of the season however.
