When I first watched this decades ago I thought that was made up stuff for the show. But then obviously I got older, but also went into pharmacy. Chlorpheniramine maleate is what she gave them. In this country that's over the counter Piriton, brought as tablets, liquid or as a more generic Chlorpheniramine maleate shop own brand, which is obviously cheaper. (Less of a strangle hold on pharmaceuticals in the UK.) There are a number of antihistamines. Those two you mentioned are known brands on both sides of the pond. Because Jack says "For crying out loud" so much in the beginning of the show. When phones finally had the option to set your own files for ringtone and message alerts, that was my txt message alert for a long while. 🤣 Probably my favourite Sci-Fi shows are the funny ones. Fringe, SG, The Orville, Doctor Who. Life is funny and when art reflects that, it can feel way more relatable to me. Obviously I do like the more serious one as well. The show can and will get serious, obviously. But for those episodes when they intentionally dial up that comedy to 11, I can't wait for those. You think it's fun now.
