2023-08-04 17:15:36 +0000 UTCAwesome reaction to a groundbreaking episode for Chuck! This was written as a potential series finale as they didn't know they were going to be picked up. More episodes were backordered, so they had to write quickly to make the rest of the season. The beginning is awesome, but what Shaw was planning? I don't really know. I think his plan was to kill Sarah there, but if you look closely Shaw sees the flashlight on the gun reflect in the TV behind Sarah so he quickly lowers his weapon. He knows there is someone there so he rethinks his plan. What an amazing character Shaw is. From the moment he betrays them in the elevator and you can clearly see a look of disgust at himself when he says that of course they believed they were dead. The way he tells Sarah: "You killed my wife. Did you really think that i'd be okay with that?" I get chills. The line delivery is so great. Shaw's turn to the dark side is so well done. The "there is another" Yoda reference has got to be my favorite reference to Star Wars ever made. And what this show does so unbelievably well is making use of characters like Chuck and Morgan and having them be helpful in solving the "spy stuff". Chuck for the most part during the first two seasons, but now Morgan with his infinite knowledge of action movies (cue the Sonny Chiba poster). It's just fantastic! Like you, this episode ranks super high in my favorite TV episodes of all time, and not the only Chuck episode up there. :) You're the best reactor out here and I love watching you react to this show. Keep up the good work and i'm looking forward to more!
