Added 2025-11-14 17:00:12 +0000 UTCConrad narrates this episode which begins with Jeremiah stuck working late at Adam's firm. This causes Conrad to reluctantly agree to help Belly begin her wedding prep. While they spend the day together, he wrestles with reminiscing back to when they were a couple.
Jeremiah discovers a critical financial error involving a company the firm wants to acquire, leading a proud Adam to show support for Jeremiah and Belly's wedding intentions and offer to pay for the wedding if it is held at his country club.
Belly becomes discouraged at the expensive costs of the wedding.
Coincidentally planning to attend the same conference, Steven and Denise take a train to New York together and bond over video games and their career goals.
When Jeremiah finally makes it to Cousins for the weekend, he discovers Belly isn't entirely thrilled by his news about Adam.
Conrad struggles to keep his remorse over losing Belly to himself, remembering a promise he made to Susannah on her deathbed to always look out for Jeremiah.

OMG. Yes. I feel very much like Jeremiah is a 'go to the extreme for Valentine's Day kind of guy.' I feel like Conrad is busy trying to make his partner feel loved everyday. And I'd so much rather someone help me out in the everyday minutiae of life, than plan an elaborate gesture 4 times a year.

Conrad is more domestic, mature, selfless, intellectual, etc. while Jere is more playful, outgoing, charming, adventurous, etc. Plus how much you rate their flaws, like Conrad struggles to open up and is selfless to a fault, but Jere is immature and not the most considerate of others. It's what you value in a partner plus what you think fits Belly. Conrad does kind of treat her better on a day-to-day basis because he finds his joy in making her happy rather than Jere who can be more focused on his wants and needs. On the otherhand, Conrad in a big picture way, struggles to communicate and can be self-destructive which leads to bigger problems in the relationship. Jere is more selfish and oblivious on a day-to-day basis, but overall is a better communicator and easier to coast along with. Personally, I lean way more toward Conrad cause I prefer that type of person in general, but also because I think Belly likes the way Conrad prioritizes her on a day-to-day basis and if they committed to working on the other issues, then that would be a better fit for her. Anyway, that's my over analysis of this teen show lol.
