Chuck 3x8 Reaction

Comments

Brilliant reaction, Mega! It's a shame Lana Lang and Superman (Hannah and Shaw) never really crossed paths here. The nerd in me would have liked that! Anyway. Great reaction again, and you're spot on. Morgan is many things, but a traitor? Never! He's loyal to a fault. Regarding pop culture, this show was so heavily loved for the way it embraced the nerdy fandom and didn't result to make fun of them (The Big Bang Theory as an example of that). That doesn't mean that all characters would be this way (Ellie, like you explained very well). This show is meant to be a love letter for nerds, not the other way around. The amount of pop culture references in this show is beyond anything I know. Like those two mafia guys. Both were in the Sopranos and they essentially talk exactly like their characters in that show. It helps when some of the main cast members (Chuck and Morgan's actor) used to sneak away during breaks to play video games and are very nerdy people as a whole. In terms of this episode, though. It's just like you said. "He's becoming like you, Sarah". And that's what terrifies her. She wants to become more like Chuck, not the other way around. Ahh, I love how much I agree with you on certain things. "I don't like this relationship.. It makes sense, but.. you know". I think that's how they want us to feel about it. Shaw is a widower and Sarah in a way mourns Chuck, so they found each other, not because of the love for each other, but because they want company. Also, Casey has some of the best damn lines. "5 guys in the world can make this shot, huh? Guess i'm one of them!" Lastly, though. Such a rough end to the episode. That is actually rather painful to watch. Chuck trying to do the right thing makes him do exactly the opposite. She is indeed 100% correct. Him trying to be noble is... well. He fails. Man, why is this a wall of text? Superfantabulous reaction as always. The best reactor I know. I cannot wait for more!
