Schedule September 22-26

Hello, hello. Happy Sunday (at least where I am). It's not really happy in my world, but I hope it is in yours.

This week we finish Hart of Dixie S2 and start S3. I think that's the only change over right now. In real time, I binged the rest of True Blood yesterday. It'll continue to come out on Fridays, but I am officially done with it. And I really wonder if I would have enjoyed it much more than I did if I wasn't watching it only one episode a week. Because it was so much easier to watch, enjoy and keep track of when I watched the last 5 episodes in two days. Total side note: the last scene of the finale featured our wedding song and it kind of freaked me out. Lol.

I've been reading a lot lately. My life has been a hot mess and I've been desperate to escape into fiction. Since we've spoken last, I've finished Onyx Storm (the third book in the Fourth Wing series), The Rom-Commers, and Deep End. And I spent about two hours today trying to chose the next book, but nothing seemed good enough. Sigh. I may, or not, have consumed some RW&RB fanfic as well. (And it's possible I re-read some olympic oriented Sterek fiction).

If you read my post yesterday, you'll know my money issues. Tomorrow we've got my father-in-law's birthday dinner. And he picked one of the most expensive restaurants near him. $50-$100 a meal. Kill me. Keep your fingers crossed I don't get evicted at the end of this month (Mostly kidding. I'm not going to get evicted, but coming up with the rent after all these expenses this month, is gonna be ROUGH).

We have a wedding this coming Saturday. My cousin is getting married on River Boat. Minus having to drive home after it's over (hotels in the area are running about $300/night and we are only an hour away), it should be a good time.

Also, Dan's job has a sort of partnership (?) with some of the venues in the area. And they raffle off tickets to people who want them for shows. The night before the wedding, Alice Cooper tickets are up for grabs. Dan says we have a really good chance at getting them, since hardly anyone else wants them. They are VIP tickets (whatever that means). We've seen him twice and the shows are incredible. So much artistry. And so fucking fun. But, it's gonna be a hectic weekend if we end up doing both. I'm pretty sure we won't get out of bed on Sunday.

Way off topic, I saw my OBGYN this past week. I've been seeing him for about 26 years now. And fuck if this man doesn't look exactly the same as the day I met him. And I am 100% older, fatter, and more misanthropic. It's so not fair. We also sort of figured out, I was one of his first patients. Fuck, I feel old.

Okay, let's end on some happy things, as I feel like I've complained way too much in this post. It's still too hot here for my liking, but it's been staying under the mid 80s, so that's an improvement. These guys I watch that react to Gilmore Girls are coming up on some of best episodes of S3- I'm excited for it! My Finch bird is finally old enough to travel (we're in London right now). I've been reading a lot about streaming rights getting pulled, and I'm happy that most of my favorite stuff is content on my shelf for when I need it.

(Left to right: Gilmore Girls, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Parks and Recreation. Top to bottom: Daria, The Guild, Firefly, Serenity, The Oblongs) I need to add Veronica Mars to this collection.

I realized today I was way behind on a drunk rewatch. That can't happen this weekend (see above), but I'll get one out the first weekend of October. Plus, I'm excited to do some Halloween movies. I'm starting early enough this year, that I can probably do more than two! (Halloween movies will be available to $5/month members and above. Drunk rewatches are for $15/month and above).

Enjoy the rest of your weekend loves!
