Okay, So I've Got a Huge Vimeo Issue

Several of you have messaged me about Vimeo not working.

I had a doctor's appointment yesterday. It was about an hour away from my apartment and we only have one car. So, I needed to drop my husband off at work and take his car. But, I was finished with my appointment by about 10:30am and had the entire day to kill before I picked him back up at work.

As much as I HATE using my phone for anything that isn't a call, I tried to suss out the issue. It took a good long while, but it turns out, the problem is 100% my fault. And, it's going to be a while until I can fix it.

At some point, I switched from Vimeo to Dropbox. Vimeo was insanely expensive and I could not afford it any longer. Dropbox was cheaper and gave me more storage, no brainer, right? So, once I switched, I started frantically moving files over (you might remember this). However, while doing this, I swear I saw something that said I still had access to the files for a year, so I stopped being so aggressive. Well, I must have read that wrong, apparently. Because, they pulled my access. And to get it back, I need to pay them $720. I do not have anywhere near $720 right now.

This month and next month are already very carefully planned out money-wise. Our electric bill was $650 this month. Dan had a higher than usual credit bill. His father's birthday is this weekend. We also have a wedding this weekend. We also have a show we are going to next week (planned long before the finance fiasco we are in now) and one next month, and my birthday is also next month (see previous parenthesis). I wish I could say we were not living pay check to pay check and had an abundance of money to toss at this issue. But, the reality of the situation is that we don't.

It so much more expensive to do this than I realized. Between paying for all the steaming services, hosting services, external hard drives, and a million other little things, it really adds up. I'm not making anywhere near minimum wage. But this isn't to complain about that. This is just to explain, why (as much as I would love to do this for you guys) I can't just pay Vimeo and get access back. Realistically speaking, it's probably going to be about 6-8 weeks. I 100% completely understand if you want to cancel. I will make sure I put in the schedule (which goes out to everyone, not just paid members) when it's back, in case you want to rejoin.

I'm super grateful to all of you that choose to stay (and those who don't, you could have spent your money elsewhere up until now and I appreciate that you spend it here). Next month, True Blood will be finished and prices will be going down $2/month. So, I guess there's that to look forward to? πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

Hopefully, your week went better than mine. 🀣
