Listen, I know we need drama, but in no universe does Mel tell Jack she's pregnant and not sure if he's the father without following up IMMEDIATELY with: I didn't sleep with anyone else, I had some embryos transferred while I was in LA with Joey and we had broken up. I was so annoyed that they ended without her getting that out.

Okay, that aside, it's ten days from the last episode and it is Hope who was in the accident. She's in the hospital and it doesn't look great. There's swelling in her brain and they need to put her in a coma. Mel and Jack have been in the hospital with him, but are taking the day off. Before they leave the house in in the morning, Mel finds out she's pregnant.

Jack heads the bar where Preacher tells him he wants to be partners and Jack tells him he bought an engagement ring for Mel. Seeing Doc so broken up about Hope is exactly how he knows he would be if anything happened to Mel, so he's gonna go for it. But, before he can, Charmaine the bitch shows up claiming she and Todd got married. What? And they are looking for complete custody of the twins. Todd wants nothing to do with Jack, and Charmaine wants to keep Todd happy. Yeah, this is a marriage built to last.

Mel meets up with Brie and we get the real story about how she ended up here. The miscarriage that she just had was the result of some asshole lawyer she was kind of dating who raped her. So, she fled to here. But now it's time to leave here too. But, she can't deal with Jack's questions right now, so she asks Mel to tell him for her and Mel agrees.

Brie heads over to say goodbye to Brady, but he tries to convince her to say. He claims he loves her and wants a chance to prove he's not the person he once was. At first she says no, but he wheedles a little bit and it seems like she's melting a bit. However, just then, the cops bang on the door it's Mike with a cavalry and a search warrant. They find the gun wedged under the seat of his car and he swears they planted it there. (I think the growers actually did when they confronted him earlier, but who knows). Either way, he gets arrested as Brie looks on in disgust. I guess she's got her answer now.

Sally shows up to tell Preacher that she needs his help in convincing Paige not to turn herself in. He immediately heads off with her. They stop for a snack and she's obviously drugged the drink she gave him. As they start walking toward the cabin, he gets dizzy and passes out. Sally then grabs his phone (or wallet or keys or something) and walks away leaving him there. So, when Connie and Christopher come home, they have no idea where Preacher is or that Vincent (who has been sitting in the dark like the villain he is) is about to pop out. All I can think of is that he threatened Sally? Why else would she suddenly start helping this asshole.

The next morning, Jack and Mel go out to see the sunrise, and Mel can see that Jack is about to propose and she stops him. Claiming she's got to tell him something before he does. She's pregnant. And Jack seems pretty happy about it. He like, I told you I was in. I meant it. We're having a baby. Yay! And she's all, like, but it might not be yours. And it ends. MEL! After that sentence you shouldn't even breathe before explaining the situation! I'm so glad I'm not watching this is real time and can see the follow up in a couple of days as opposed to a couple of months. Lol.

Comments

I can't believe people had to wait a whole year for the follow-up to that, lol.πŸ˜†
